We have a belief that “off the rack” is not what custom home buyers are looking for. A custom home should be what the owner wants and is willing to afford. Some builders do not allow change orders. Others charge a large amount of money, or application fee, to even consider a change order in an effort to eliminate them. We allow change orders at the cost of the change only, if that stage of construction is not affected; or plus a small fee, which is normally passed on to the workers for their trouble.
